Base2 Studio have Two Screen DTS1045ai Drum scanners.

Drum scanning is the ultimate scan. Nothing gets close in terms of sharpness, dynamic range and accuracy. Essential for image archiving.

Drum scanning uses 3 Photomultiplier tubes for sensors for red green and blue - devices that can record single photons. No other sensor is more sensitive.

Drum scans are oil mounted to a plexiglass drum. Slides need to be taken out of their mounts for drum scanning.

Drum Scans are oil / gel mounted and cleaned up afterwards. Every care is taken with your precious film originals. We scan for many important clients, and scan many historic priceless originals. We can also scan water colour paintings / drawings as long as they are no more than 11 x 14 inches in size.

Limitations: We cannot scan glass flat plates. Only flexible originals can be drum scanned.

Prices are for Megabytes of output in RGB 24 bit. Scans supplied as 48bit RGB Adobe98

or Joseph Holms Ekta profile. CMYK same price.

Price includes basic retouch in Photoshop if required.

We make every effort to deliver scans that are as free of dust marks and other blemishes as possible; however, the price of a scan includes only reasonable spotting, and we do not warranty that every scan will be absolutely spot-free regardless of the condition of the film, scan resolution, and size of enlargement. It is the customer's responsibility to deliver clean negatives and transparencies to Base2 Studio and to perform final checking and spotting before printing
